A quick sunday project

Ive been looking at painted jars and glass vessels on pinterest for a while and decided to give it a go.

I LOVE these!

Updating a bench seat

We have had this bench seat for over 2 years. I picked it up in a thrift store when Myles was into Cars, but he lost interest a while ago (in favour of super heroes) and we began using this in Maisy's bedroom for her books.
As useful as it is, it really didn't go with her room decor! I used a melamine primer which covered it incredibly well, then used the Farrow and Ball Skimming Stone the rest of her bedroom furniture is in. The inside of the cubbies is a little darker than I would of liked but it was a F&B sample, and for now it works.
Maisy chose the baskets herself, not the shade of pink Id have gone for but she loves them! I may make a cushion for this in the future, but for now her doll house will stand on the top and her books underneath.

A bit beaten and faded

Primed

Ready to use (sadly it doesn't stand out from the wall)

Side table bargain

I picked up these tables in a local charity shop. Ive been after a nest of tables forever and these were a bargain!
A quick sand, prime and they were ready for their makeover. I went with Laura Ashley Ivory eggshell paint and then a coat of Annie Sloan clear soft wax.
